Celebrity weddings are always an event to look forward to, and next in line is Priyanka and Nick’s wedding. Having moved at warp speed throughout the entirety of their relationship. We’ve already arrived at the point of ogling Priyanka Chopra and Nick’s over-the-top wedding venue: the Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace. Which sits atop the highest points in Jodhpur, India.

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’s wedding festivities are reportedly going to take place from November 30 to December 2 at the heritage property The Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, which is managed by Taj Hotels. This is the same property that has also hosted actor Elizabeth Hurley’s wedding in the past. It is also a favorite of many celebrities from both India and abroad including Shahrukh Khan. The Ambanis, Brad Pitt among others.

According to reports, a part of the palace is a hotel and now for Priyanka and Nick’s wedding ceremonies. The whole palace will be shut almost for a week. A notice has been put outside the umaid bhavan palace which is that ‘due to security reasons. The palace will be closed for public from 29 November  2018, to 3 December 2018.

The couple will also be getting married according to Christian traditions on 3rd december & will reportedely hosting two receptions – one in Delhi and another in Mumbai.
 

Currently the world’s sixth-largest private residence, Umaid Bhawan Palace in jodhpur was named after Maharaja Umaid Singh. Grandfather of Gaj Singh, the present owner. This gorgeous property by Taj has been voted the best heritage property a lot of times. In fact, Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja had chosen this hotel for their nuptials but changed it later.

The former residence of the theRoyal family of Jodhpur, the palace has 347 rooms and has been divided into three parts – the heritage hotel managed by Taj Hotels, a family museum, & the palace complex.  The palace complex is set in an area of 26 acres of land, including 15 acres gardens. The palace consists of a throne chamber, a private meeting hall, a Darbar Hall to meet the public, a vaulted banquet hall, private dining halls, a ballroom, a library, an indoor swimming pool & spa, a billiards room, four tennis courts, two marble squash courts, and long passages. All in all, there’s enough space for the luxury five-star Taj heritage hotel to hold the title of the world’s sixth largest private residence. The Art Deco bathrooms alone are arguably worth the trip.

The most basic room cost approximately ₹40,000 for a night if booked two weeks in advance. Though please don’t try booking for Priyanka and Nick’s wedding because it is completely booked for the duration!
